NRG Riverside is the largest municipal and specialist fleet hire and management company in the UK. We offer short and long-term vehicle rental, contract hire and HGV and LCV fleet repair and maintenance services. Operating for almost three decades, our service is supported nationally by experienced teams, each committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers every day.
We have a wide variety of municipal trucks and specialist vehicles for spot hire. We supply for hire; refuse collection vehicles (RCVs), skips and hook loaders, walking floor combinations, high impact protection vehicles and traffic management vehicles, gully tankers and food waste collection trucks. Our contract hire fleet also consists of tractor units, vehicle mounted access platforms (VMAPS and MEWPs), bespoke trailers, vans, fridges, flatbeds and minibuses all available in diesel or alternative fuel.
Our History
In 1996, Riverside Truck Rental (RTR) was formed and was acquired by Sid Sadique in 2006. By 2019, after several acquisitions in addition to steady organic growth, the company now headquarters from Skelmersdale, Lancashire, with a further ten depots across the UK, including Manchester, Colchester, Bellshill and more recently, Tunbridge Wells. NRG Riverside also boasts an extensive national network of third party suppliers and support infrastructure.
In 2020, Palatine Private Equity acquired a majority shareholding in our operating company, NRG Fleet Services. Shortly thereafter, in an effort to acknowledge the many facets of what the business can offer, RTR rebranded, and the trading name of NRG Riverside was incorporated.
Today, NRG Riverside operates in excess of 2000 vehicles and employs 226 people across the UK under the new leadership of our Chief Executive Officer, Darren Powell. With a growth trajectory that is driven by continued investment in not just new fleet, but also its people, NRG Riverside continues to outperform its competitors and provides exceptional service to its customers.
