NRG Riverside Acquisition Strengthens Customer Service and Regional Support
NRG Riverside has successfully acquired the maintenance operations of Truck Care (UK) Limited, further expanding its national depot network with the addition of an established vehicle maintenance facility in Waltham Cross. The acquisition enhances NRG Riverside’s ability to support customers across London and the South East, providing increased local service capacity and faster response times.
Strategically located near several key customer operations, the Waltham Cross depot will play an important role in supporting fleet availability and service continuity as NRG Riverside continues to grow.

“Our recent refinancing has provided the foundation for us to accelerate our growth plans, and this acquisition represents the first of several strategic investments we will make in our service infrastructure. Expanding our footprint and enhancing local capability ensures we remain fully aligned to the needs of our customers and well positioned for long-term, sustainable growth.” says Darren Powell, Chief Executive Officer.
“Our specialist fleet business is focused on delivering exceptional customer service, and this acquisition demonstrates our ability to invest in the right areas to continually improve our service offering, reducing downtime of our fleet and keeping costs to a minimum. We look forward to building on our strong foundations to meet the developing needs of our customers and maintain our position as the partner of choice in the specialist fleet sector.” says Gary Wilson, Chief Operating Officer.
John Matthews, Transformation Director at NRG Riverside adds, “It has been a pleasure working with the TruckCare business throughout this process and I am particularly pleased to welcome so many new colleagues to the NRG family. Our continuous growth and established employee programs provide both security and career development opportunities for all our colleagues, so this is an exciting time to welcome the new team at Waltham Cross.”
The location of the newly acquired depot has particular significance due to NRG Riverside’s long-standing relationship with Reynolds Food Group, a national operator headquartered in Waltham Cross. The acquisition strengthens local service capability and ensures NRG Riverside can continue to provide the responsive, dependable fleet support that forms the foundation of the partnership.
Reynolds Food Group welcomed the acquisition:
“NRG Riverside are a strategic partner, and this acquisition demonstrates both their commitment to, and understanding of, our business and the need to keep vehicle downtime to a minimum. Having service support located here in Waltham Cross will help maintain continuity and responsiveness across our fleet operations, and we look forward to continuing to work together as this support develops.”
The acquisition forms part of NRG Riverside’s ongoing programme of investment in facilities, people and service infrastructure, supporting sustainable growth and delivering long-term value for customers.
